Eyes are the mirror of the soul. With extreme sensitivity, Isabelle Rozenbaum fixes on celluloid the freeze-frames of a film whose depth - of field - is only equal to that of the soul. A film on the expression of women, with the eye in the leading role, directed by the pupil placed in its centre. In an incessant coming-and-going, it imprints in a look all the variations on the theme of emotions. This is how Isabelle enables us to see fragments of soul, those that filter through the eyes of the models who accepted to place themselves in her hands. She makes an incursion that is in turn discreet, inquisitive and penetrating but always sincere into the expression of the other in an attempt to unearth reflections of the soul, and therefore the essence of herself, who would be nothing without the other.
