His montages, in which sales aids and sales areas are interwoven, fog the standard images leaving room for imagination. He conjures up environments and atmospheres but leaves the way clear for us to make our own interpretation. Clear symbols are sometimes shown, to suggest an idea. In each image, there are a thousand signals to take in: Frederic Cirou's images are vibrant and confused like a shopper before a display. You sway, intoxicated.
